General Contractors and Project Owners  are saving a lot of time and money!

We started offering our Online Plan Room and Project Bidding service in June 2009. General Contractors and Project Owners have been using the service to invite and keep track of their bidders as well as manage the distribution of their project bid documents.

They are telling us that using this system saves them quite a bit of time and money because they don’t have to print up 20 or more sets of the project construction documents (at their expense) and physically distribute and keep track of them. With our automated system they send out Invitations To Bib – ITB’s, track which bidders have accepted or declined the ITB’s, which bidders have viewed the project documents and which bidders have purchaesd hard copies or dowloads of the documents.  After the project moves from the bidding phase to the construction phase, the PlanRoom is still very useful, allowing the GC or Owner to send out and track notifications as well as distibute revisions and addendums to all plan holders.

The traditional method used by General Contractors and Project Owners to distribute project bid documents is wasteful and costly because:
1. It is time consuming to manage and track the process.
2. The bidders/subcontractors usually don’t need complete sets of the documents to prepare their bids.
3. Many of the bidders don’t return the bid ducuments even if they decide not to bid.

Our system saves time and money for GCs and Owners because it’s automated and doesn’t require manual tracking, shifts the cost of printing to the bidders (if the bidder is interested then they purchase the docs) and saves time and money for bidders/subcontractors because they can view the documents online from their home or office before deciding to bid and can easily determine which specific ducuments they need before ordering instead of ordering complete sets unnecessarily.

And finally the benefit to our planet is the smart conservation of resources - energy, paper and toner.
